Sign up to help with the Roman Forest 4 of July Parade

Picture
Ham radio operators needed to help with the 4th of July Parade in Roman Forest.

Operators meet for instructions at the Dogwood School no later than 8:30 am.  The Parade Line up will start at 9 am.  The parade will start at 10 AM.  Once the parade clears the parking lot at Dogwood School, I would ask that people stay and help collect all the local parade signs so I can sort them and prepare for next year.

They will need a HT set to 443.625 pl of 103.5   If they have safety vests, please bring them.

Directions:

https://maps.app.goo.gl/N7H9rnqjefvd39R66

Take Roman Forest Blvd from Hwy 59 to just past city hall, and turn right on Appian Way, which is about 2 ½ miles.  Then go 3 streets and that should be Dogwood street.  Turn right on Dogwood St. and in about 100 feet turn left into the first entrance of the school parking lot.  Please go to the far end of the parking lot and park on the left side.  Watch out as there are some curbs in the parking lot to miss.  I have seen people hit those curbs and bend a tire rim.

There will be some places where there is no water, so please bring your own water just in case.  If you need to sit down, please bring your chair.  There will be a porta potty in the parking lot on the left side of the school.

Please complete the form below if interested.
